Marginalizing keyword expressions
|
Remember, the more marginal the search term the less likely it is your competitors will have it in their CPC / PPC campaigns. Using the region your business is based in as part of your search term can sometimes give you virtually uncontested traffic from customers looking for your products or services in your locality.

Also target surrounding regions or areas:

These expressions may not attract massive numbers of clicks but they will be relatively uncontested and highly targeted for your business.

There are literally thousands of marginal search terms for every industry, product and service. The trick is to be as creative as possible… different combinations of the words used in the above list alone represent 50 – 60 viable search expressions.

Using Rapid Keyword and working with the single expression “wireless camera” I was able to generate a keyword list of over 2500 expressions. This list took me under 15 minutes to generate and many of the expressions will receive daily traffic at between 2 – 4cents per click.
